
Volunteers from local CAMRA branches decide which pubs are in the guide, after visiting eligible establishments throughout 2021 to check the quality of their beers.
The Good Beer Guide is the authority on the best places for a pint, so here are 11 of the best pubs in and around Chesterfield according to CAMRA.
The guide describes it as a “rustic one-room bar, warm and friendly, with a cozy micropub atmosphere. A choice of up to eight real beers, often local, is usually offered. Many different ciders are also available as well as Belgian and continental draft beers.

The guide says: “A beer store opened in 2016 with an out-of-license. Between three and five beers on tap are served at the bar, two changing beers on tap and a range of bottled beers from around the world.

Winner of numerous local CAMRA awards. The guide says, “Memories of the old Brampton brewery adorn the walls. There are outdoor consumption areas at the front and rear with a covered terrace. The quiz night takes place on Tuesday, Sunday lunches are organized and an annual beer festival is organized for St. George’s Day. Four Brampton beers are still available, including one dark beer.

According to CAMRA, “This is the smaller of the two Wetherspoon pubs in town, near the Crooked Spire. The interior is spacious and modern, divided into separate areas. It can get crowded on weekends and club nights. Music, sports television and gaming machines.
